Pop-Up Festival of Stories

Last Saturday my whole little family went for long train journey to King's Cross and Central Saint Martin's Collage of Art for a Pop-Up Festival - and it was so worth it!

It was one of those events which makes you feel very cool to be a parent. There was no "Hello Kitty" or Peppa Pig on every corner - instead we could enjoy the magic of story telling, imaginative workshops for children and wonderful performances (like the Philippine dancers you can on some of my images above).

Odessa was mesmerised by the dancers and later was trying to dance with different objects on her head (inspired by their show).  The atmosphere was amazing, the place full of smiling faces, kids with massive lollipops and adults with fresh coffee.

I personaly loved the venue: Central Saint Martin's is an amazing building with beautiful light and industrial charm and the huge fountain in front made it the whole experience even more perfect.

How could I say no to such a cool lollipops?!

More stories...

The dancers were very warm and friendly - and after the show taught the kids few steps. Odessa keeps practising at home now

When the festival came to an end, everyone started packing and tiding. Odessa had another lovely surprise; Lelia finally arrived - and nothing can beat that!

We had all a wonderful day full of visual treats and positive energy. We ended up going for late diner at Carluccio's in St Pancras. The girls were running around the station while the grown-ups drank wine. It doesn't happen often to Odessa to stay up so late and I'll never forget her cuddling Lelia on the train seat in the middle of the night. It must have been one of the best Saturdays this year so far!
